The Robotics Catalyst Foundation

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit I founded that has raised over $14,000 to cut the cost of starting and running youth robotics teams.

Why it exists

Starting a robotics team is expensive: about $2,500 for an FTC team and $800 for a FIRST LEGO League team in the first year alone. The foundation exists to cut that first-year barrier so more students get to compete.

What it does

  • Funding: direct grants to new and existing teams across FLL, FTC, VEX, and NHRL, including two FIRST LEGO League teams in Wilton
  • Fiscal sponsorship: teams can operate under the foundation’s 501(c)(3), with debit cards and tax-deductible donation pages, run through Robolyst
  • Robolyst: the foundation builds and operates Robolyst, free for every team

Results

Over $14,000 raised and 5 teams funded so far, reaching over 1,500 students.
